Michael Osmann
Michael Osmann loves all things historical and to awaken hidden treasures to new life. He sees in historical buildings a soul that for him is sadly missing in the new builds of today. The skilled construction engineer had worked in various different types of planning offices in canalization and hydraulic construction as well as in building construction, before being commissioned to take on the building supervision of a house renovation for the estate agency of Herberstein. After this, one thing led to the other. Michael Osman was given the management of the restoration of a small Corinthian Baroque castle as well as an East Styrian estate. In the year 2000 he successfully graduated, passing the qualifying examination for technical agencies, in the area of expertise of interior design which then allowed him to set up the Osmann Planning Agency a year later. His dream, with his company, on the one hand, is to awaken and support a passion for the charming opulence of days gone by, in some, whilst on the other hand making this vision financially viable and livable for others. As an entrepreneur, he is particularly keen on consistent and continued training both in practical and theoretical skills. It is therefore at seminars that he deepens and widens his knowledge of craftsmen’s traditional skills and of historical building materials, he keeps in touch at all times with practicing craftsmen and theoreticians on the preservation of monuments and historical buildings alike, and also has at his disposal a large network of specialists.
Marion Osmann
A fully and highly qualified seamstress and designer-dressmaker, Marion worked at the “Wiener Kammeroper “ (Vienna Chamber Opera) as wardrobe mistress of the costume atelier as well as at the “Opernwerkstätte” (Opera atelier) as both designer and maker of stage and period costumes, she followed this with a time at the “Grazer Buehnen“ (Theatres of Graz) where she not only worked as assistant to the head of the wardrobe department, designing and making costumes, but also as the organizer and designer of events, thus gaining much experience. Since then Marion Osmann has become mother to three children and moved on from the world of the stage to the world of architecture. Thanks to continued training in interior design, colour theory, and plastic decoration and to participating in seminars at the “Kartause Mauerbach” workshops on the restoration and the conservation of monuments, she is our exquisite, unsurpassed specialist on interior spaces, colour and furnishing concepts.
